Medical Facility Checks

The purpose of conducting medical related investigations is to determine if there has been any previously undisclosed medical treatment prior to the date of loss which may have had a direct impact on the status of the claim.

During our investigation a minimum of 15 hospitals are searched within a 60 mile radius of the claimant’s residence. The objective is to gather evidence which may validate or show conflicting information around the date of loss or injury and furthermore, ascertain if the claimant was treated in a hospital, pharmacy, chiropractic or dental office.

Pharmacy checks are done after we have a signed medical authorization form. TIG will investigate and determine whether the prescription drugs were obtained in the claimant’s name and if the claimant was receiving prescription drugs for a pre-existing condition.

Note: TIG can provide all the above service to Chiropractic/ Dental offices with a signed medical authorization.
